Manchester City share spoils with Burnley at Turf Moor in Premier League clash

Burnley held Premier League leaders Manchester City 1-1 in their Premier League matchday 26 clash at the Turf Moor. The draw extended City lead in the Premier League log to 16 points.

Attacking trio of Sterling, Aguero and Silva led the attack for Manchester City as Pep Guardiola sticked to his now famour 4-3-3 formation.

City as expected took control of the game from kick off but were unable to put one past the Burnley goalkeeper who was in top form.

The visitor finally got their much awaited lead in the 22nd minute as a great play by Bernardo Silva released Danilo in space on the edge of the box. He spotted the keeper off his line and coolly put the ball into the top right corner to make it 1 - 0 in favour ofthe City.At the end of the first 45 minute, it was City that went into the dressing room with a goal lead.

City came close to doubling their lead in the 55th minute as Sergio Aguero played a through ball to Raheem Sterling inside the box, he had time and arrowed at shot that just goes over the bar.

Burnley got all their fans roaring in sheer jubilation in the 82nd minute as Johann Gudmundsson scored with a brilliant shot into the middle of the goal after being released inside the box by a superb lofted pass from Matthew Lowton to make the scoreline 1 - 1.

City fought so hard to reclaim the lead but the motivated Burnley held strong to give their fans a point against the League leaders to cheer about.


In other matchday 26 clash Manchester willhost Huddersfield at the Old Trafford while Arsenal will welcome Theo Walcott and his Everton side to the Emirate stadium.
