Former Zimbabwe presidentRobert Mugabehas revealed that his wife,Gracecries daily, over the harassment she receives, especially over her bogus doctorate degree.

 It was the first time that the former Zimbabwe leader would speak on the emotional torment of his wife, three months after he was forced to step down by the military, according to a report bySouth Africa’s News 24.

Mugabe reportedly gave this insight into the former first family at a meeting with African Union chairperson,Moussa Faki Mahamatduring a courtesy call he made to the Mugabes at their Blue Roof Harare mansion. The former leader also told Mahamat that he doesn’t feel safe.

“They told you I was safe, but how can I be in this environment?,” Mugabe reportedly told Faki at the meeting on 19 February.  “My wife is crying daily. They are persecuting her… What am I without my wife and family? We are not safe,”the Zimbabwe Independent quoted Mugabe as saying, citing “detailed notes” supplied by officials who attended the meeting.

 Mugabe said his wife was being harassed over her PhD from the University of Zimbabwe. Last week UZ Vice ChancellorLevi Nyagurawas arrested for allegedabuse of office for awarding her the degree in 2014. Critics say her thesis is nowhere near PhD standard. Mugabe reportedly insisted to Faki the PhD was genuine:“I used to see her here working hard day and night. I would assist her here and there, so how can someone wake up and claim she didn’t work for it? This is harassment.”

According to the leaked notes, Mugabe told Faki that Mnangagwa’s appointment as president was illegal, and appealed to the AU to help restore democracy in the country. “We want you to assist to restore normalcy and democracy in the country and stop this thing of ruling through guns,”he reportedly said.

Buhari promises to make Nigeria among safest investment destinationsin the world

President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged to make Nigeria among the most safest andattractive investment destinations in the world.

Buhari made the pledge on Saturday, February 24, in a message at the opening ofthe 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

“The vision of our government is to make the country one of the easiest, safest and attractive places to do business in the world,”he said.

The president, who was represented by the minister of trade and investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, said the administration is prioritising the industrial sector by focusing on rebuilding the nation’s infrastructure.

“One of the important initiatives of our government is the Industrial Policy and Competitiveness Advisory Council, which isa partnership of the government with the private sector meant to solve difficult problems militating against industrialization.

”Buhari disclosed that the government would sign the Continental Africa Free Trade Area Agreement in March, as part of efforts to prioritize trade as a significant instrument for reform in the country.

According to him, the purpose of the agreement will be to promote regional trade.

“Right now, the intra African trade is less than 15%; other regions of the world are well over 50%, so we want to move that of intra Africa to about 30% so as to grow.

”The president assured that: "Other policies being pursued will promote export by establishing special economic growth zones where Nigeria and International businesses would have the required infrastructure.”

He mentioned that the theme of the fair, ‘Promoting Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for International Competitiveness’ was in line with the economic recovery and growth plan of the country.

Iyalode Lawson, president, national association of chambers of commerce, mines and industry, said the theme underscores the riding interest in the competitiveness of locally produced goodsand services.

“KADCCIMA should also show its support to the efforts of both the State and Federal government towards reviving the economy,particularly investing in agriculture, manufacturing, technology and other commercial activities.

”Lawson hoped that the fair would increase exposure to global brands of businesses.

In another report,Buhari has said his administration has implemented several programmes and initiatives to reduce the rate of unemployment in the country. He made the disclosure on Saturday, February24, at the 22nd convocation ceremony of the University of Abuja.

The president who was represented by the deputy executive secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Chinedu Mafiano, also urged youths to key into any of the programmes for national growth and

48 of the missing Yobe school girls have been rescued, 46 still missing

48 out of the 94 missing girls at Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC) have been rescued while 46 others are still missing. The Yobe state government confirmed this in a statement released last night. It isreported that one of the rescued girls sustained a snake bite and is being treated at a state owned hospital. Recall that on Monday, Boko Haram members attacked the community where the school is located. The teachers and students fled into the bush. After a head count on Tuesday February 20th, it was discovered that 94 of the students were missing.

Nigeria declares 'hate speech' as an act of 'terrorism'

The Federal government has declared hate speech as an act of terrorism and warned that it will, henceforth, prosecute those who indulge in the practice. Minister of Information and Culture, AlhajiLai Mohammed, said henceforth, offenders of dangerous comments would be treated in accordance with the 2011 terrorism Act.

According to a report by Guardian, the minister who spokeyesterday at the second National Conference of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kano, reminded that government directive from National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to sanction any broadcast stationwho allows its airwave to be usedas medium for promotion of hatespeeches, is still in place.

94 school girls missing afterBoko Haram attacked all girls school in Yobe

94 students of the Government Girls Science and Technical Secondary School at Dapchi townin Bursari local government area of Yobe state are reportedly missing after an attack from Boko Haram on Monday February 19th. Sahara Reporters reports that the parents of the students in the school had a joint head count with teachers of the boarding school yesterday and discovered that 94 of the studentsare missing.

Initially there were reports that the teachers and the girls in the hostel, over 700 in number, ran into the bush when they heard thegunshots of the sect members. Howevere, after the headcount onTuesday, it was discovered that atleast 94 of the girls were still missing. The school was immediately closed down while education authorities and security forces in the state began efforts to locate the missing students.

Recall that over 200 girls in Chibok community was kidnaped by Boko Haram members in 2014.Some of the school girls have been rescued while some others are still in Boko Haram captivity.

Court releases 475 Boko Haram suspects for rehabilitation

A Federal High Court sitting in Wawa Cantonment, Kainji, Niger state has set free about 475 suspected Boko Haram members.

They are to be sent to their state governments for proper rehabilitation. The suspects were arrested at different states and detained at Wawa Cantonment.  According to a press statement from the office of the Attoorney-General and Minister of Justice, their detention was based on the information that they belong to the proscribed terrorist group known as Boko Haram or that they concealed information aboutthe group which they knew or believed to be of material assistance in preventing the commission of act of terrorism or securing apprehension, prosecution or conviction of members of Boko Haram sect.

According to the statement, the Prosecution Counsel could not charge them for any offence due to lack of sufficient evidence against them. The suspects were accordingly released. The court also directed states to provide for the released persons, rehabilitation at any appropriate centre provided by the states before being released to their families.

  Those suspects who are mentallyderanged or challenged with theirhealth are to be provided medicalattention at any appropriate medical or other mental health facilities. The states were also to provide appropriate training in the manner and for the period that the state deemed appropriateand reasonable.

President Trump has come out tosay he never said Russia did not meddle in the US election.

He explained that what he's always said was “it may be Russia, or China or another country or group, or it may be a 400 pound genius sitting in bed and playing with his computer.” The Russian “hoax” was that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia - it never did!

He then went on to blame President Obama for the interference saying,'Obama was President, knew of the threat, and did nothing'.

Miracle and Nina finally threw caution to the wind and got down/dirty beneath their duvet early today. The 'strategic' partners had sex with one another, and the cameras showed Miracle thrusting away while Ninastayed expressionless.

Miracle having an orgasm was also shown briefly. He stood up after, went into their joint closet to clean himself up and later to the kitchen to fix himself a snack.

United States Indicts 13 Russians for interfering in the 2016 Presidential election

The US special prosecutor investigating Moscow’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election on Friday indicted 13 Russians for allegedly running a secret campaign to tilt the vote, prompting claims of vindication from President Donald Trump.

 The indictment which includes the first charges laid by special counsel Robert Mueller for election interference detailed a stunning operation launched in 2014 in a bid to sow social division in the US and influence American politics “including the presidential election of 2016.

”  Mueller alleges that by mid-2016, the campaign under the direction of Yevgeny Prigozhin, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin became focused on boosting Trump and demeaning his rivals including Democrat Hillary Clinton.

It allegedly involved “hundreds” of people working in shifts and with a budget of millions of dollars. Three companies were also indicted.  Moscow dismissedthe allegations as “absurd.”  According to the indictment, members of the group posed as US citizens on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, posting content that reached “significant numbers” of Americans.

The group was allegedly in contact with “unwitting” members of the Trump campaign, but had a broader “strategic goal to sow discord in the US political system.”  Content created by the group was retweeted by the president’s two eldest sons Don Jr and Eric, as well as other top campaign officials and members of Trump’s inner circle.  “There is no allegation in this indictment that any American was a knowingparticipant in this illegal activity,” said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.  He added that there was also no judgment on whether the campaign “altered the outcome.”

Yesterday, President Trump and the first lady, Melania visited survivors of the Parkland School shooting in Florida.

The shooting happened during the week leaving 17 people dead and 15-others injured and hospitalized.

In his speech during the visit, President Trump said, 'our entireNation, with one heavy heart, continues to pray for the victims and their families in Parkland, Florida. I’m ready to commit suicide if… – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says he will commit suicide once he comes to the conclusion that there is no longer hope for Nigeria.

The former president said this while commissioning some projects executed by Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson, yesterday February 16th. Responding to a question asked by one of the students in a school he commissioned, Obasanjo said

• If I believe that Nigeria has no hope, I will find a way of committing suicide immediately. Then what am I living for? I am an incurable optimist about Nigeria. Nigeria has hope. There are many things thatwe should have done that we have not done as we should have done them. There is no doubt about that. But that doesn’t mean that Nigeria has no hope. Hope is what drives humanbeings. If you are a person without hope, you are a person without life. How can I therefore say Nigeria has no hope? Nigeria has hope. And you are part of the hope of Nigeria. The question you have asked me is a very sensible question and that means with you asking me that type of question it heightens my own conviction that Nigeria has hope. My generation or the generation before me gave us independence. It doesn’t matter what you think about them.My generation fought for the unity of this country and laid the foundation of democracy. Then people of governor  Dickson generation should be able to say they built onour foundation. That is how a nation continues to make progress. The governor is doing wonderfully well. Anybodycoming after him will do something else. The person will not start building the INA from the scratch. The academy has already been established. On whether he had regrets in office as the President, Obasanjo said “With the knowledge, resources and facilities that I had,was there anything that I did not do? No. If I had more resources, then I think I would have done differently, but with what I had and the resources at my disposal,I would say no, I did all that is humanly possible when I was President. I was not perfect, only God is. “Also bear in mind that people you work with will make sure you don’t see certain things. Some of them will do everything. What is important is that you should not have a regret. I do not have a regret when I was in government or in any leadership position I have held. No regret”.

Arrested Boko Haram commander says Abubakar Shekau is currently in Cameroun

One of the Boko Haram commanders, Abdullahi Bello, who was arrested by the NigerianArmy on February 14th, says the wanted factional leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau, has escaped to Kolofata in neighbouring Cameroun.

 Bello was one of the sect’s commanders forced out of Sambisa Forest by the clear out offensive of military troops involved in Operation Deep Punch11. He confessed to the Military that the intensity of the offensive has forced numerous Boko Haram commanders to flee their hideouts

.The Nigerian military two days ago announced that Shekau now disguises as a woman and is currently on the run. Yesterday the Military announced a N3million reward for anyone thatwill come forward with information that will help towards the arrest of Shekau.
