Bus conductor jumps into Atlantic Ocean after stealing N40,000

A 26-year-old bus conductor, Nurudeen Suleiman has been arrested for jumping into the Atlantic Ocean after stealing N40, 000
Vanguard reports that on March 30 at about 4:30pm,Bar Beach ,Victoria Island,Lagos, the suspect asked a man, Mr Segun for some financial assistance.The man had brought out some naira notes to give Suleiman and in the process, some fell off.
The accused pretended to help pick the money kept N40, 000 and handed over the rest .By the time Segun suspected the money had been cut short,Suleiman had jumped into the Atlantic Ocean to avoid being caught.He stayed in the ocean for about 30 minutes to allow the divers that had attempted to arrest him leave.
After getting tired of hiding for 30 minutes, he emerged and was arrested by security men
He is on trial for stealing and was granted a N20,000 bail  while the case was adjourned till April 23rd
