"I'll give marriage another shot, but not now." actress Chike Ike says

In a recent interview with Punch, actress Chika Ike said her divorce is in her past and plans to marry again but not immediately.
"I don’t want to talk about the divorce because it is already in the past and I have since moved on. I am still open to marriage and I might give it a second shot because I believe in love. For now, I am most concerned with my own happiness" she said.
The UN ambassador also spoke on the increased rate of failed marriages in Nollywood
"Celebrities also make mistakes. I don’t think they have a bad time combining their successful careers and managing the home front or their marriages on the side".
She also addressed the notion of men being intimidated by single celebrity women
"All the talk about some men being afraid to walk up to a female celebrity and ask her out does not make sense to me. Any man that cannot walk up to me and toast me is not man enough. I don’t have a long list or criteria for my ideal man. All I want is that he must make me happy.” Chika said

Rihanna hopes to move in with Drake? Photo:TMZ

Rihanna has definitely moved on from her weird relationship with Chris Brown, it seems, as sources say she reportedly has high hopes to move in with her new found intimate friend Drake.

The 26-year-old Bajan singer and the 27-year-old Canadian rapper have, in recent weeks, been inseparable since they started seeing other exclusively. Now, sources say the love birds could be considering living together.

Speaking with Hollywoodlife.com, a source close  to Rihanna  said, ‘She would love to maybe one day soon see if they can co–exist together and try the whole living with each other thing.’

‘But she’s not trying to force anything. She wants it to unfold and to let him take control of that. It would be something that’s new and fresh and something she would like to give a shot but he’s got to be on board. They have scrambled with the idea but haven’t really come to a conclusion. It is all just a matter of time. There is no rush because time is on their side,’ the source added

Report also has it that Rihanna has been telling her friends that Drake treats her beyond well and that she’s incredibly happy in their relationship.

Beyonce sued by angry fans

After the raving success of the Mrs Carter World Tour, which lasted for close to a year, Beyonce is facing lawsuits from two angry Chicago fans.

Raquel Castellanos and Gabriella Davidson are suing the singer as a result of events that occurred during her show in Chicago on Friday, December 13, 2013, at the United Centre.
The fans, in their lawsuits, claim that they were knocked unconscious and also suffered broken bones by the stampede caused by fellow concert goers.
The defendants include the United Centre and the Concert Promoters Live Nation Entertainment. The United Centre was accused of not ‘setting up any reasonable system to permit an orderly entrance’. They also claimed that after the stampede, they were helped by two female concert goers before being handed over to members of the Chicago police and the Chicago Fire Service who took them to the hospital.
The lawsuit hinted that the women are demanding for financial compensation although the specific amount has not been disclosed.

Bisi The Nude Twerker's Update : Punch Claims University Public Affairs Officer Snubbed Them

Top Newspaper, Punch recently published an article on the matter and they claim the University snubbed them.

Read Below

The social media has been agog with a footage of a student of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, dancing stark naked.

The student, identified simply as Bisi, was filmed in the three-minute 44-second video dancing to the rhythm of a popular hip-hop song in a sexually provocative manner.

The video was shot in the university hostel with the aid of a webcam attached to the laptop of one of her female friends, Jacklyn.
In the video, which has since become an Internet sensation, Jacklyn and another female student were seen joining Bisi in the dance, but with their clothes on.

The video was said to have found its way to the Internet when Bisi and Jacklyn’s mutual male friend who had been making unsuccessful advances to Bisi allegedly got hold of the video on the laptop that was used for the recording.

Checks by iPUNCH on Thursday on the Twitter pages of Bisi and Jacklyn showed that the duo had expressed regrets for their actions since the video went trending online.

Writing on her Twitter page, Bisi lamented that a friend, whom she had so much trust and confidence in, betrayed her.

She said Jacklyn did not show the slightest inclination that she could do something of such, especially when both of them featured in the video.

Expressing sadness at the humiliation she has experienced so far, she tweeted, “I can never trust anyone on this earth anymore.”

She went further asking, “Why me? It’s a wicked world;” adding, “(May) God punish whoever leaked that video. See all what you (Jacklyn) have caused. People just want to bring you down, regardless of whether they go down with you.

“You were in the video and you still leaked it. You’ve destroyed my life and my everything. I’ve always been a happy girl.”

Jacklyn, while trying to prove her innocence in the debacle, said she deleted the sexually explicit video almost immediately after it was shot.

She, however, noted that the unnamed male friend might have picked up the video from the computer’s recycle bin, as she forgot to delete it from there.

The recycle bin is the temporary storage for files that have been deleted in a file manager but not yet permanently erased from the computer system.

Pleading for forgiveness from her friend, Jacklyn tweeted, “I wasn’t the one who leaked the video. And to Bisi, sorry: it was (from) my laptop that the guy got the video. I never had any intention of leaking the video.

“I deleted the video but forgot to delete it from the recycle bin. It was never my intention to leak any video of such. I am really sorry.”

When our correspondent contacted the Corporate/Public Affairs Officer of the institution, Mr. Emmanuel Igben, to get the official position of the university on the development, he declined responding to our inquiry.

As soon as he was informed of the facts of the inquiry, he simply cut off the telephone conversation abruptly.

Subsequent calls placed to his telephone were not answered, as it indicated that he was dropping the call. Also, a text message sent to his telephone was not replied to as at press time.

Meanwhile, digital media experts have warned young men and women who have caught the bug of new media technology against recording videos they will never be willing to publish online.

According to a digital media consultant, Deola Kayode, a harmless fun can turn into eternal regret if sexually explicit photos and videos find their way to the Internet.

He argued that with the emergence of various smart devices, there has been an upsurge in the number of amateur pornography, as it is now easy to create and share such explicit photographs or footages.

“Never share or record what you can’t publish, as you may never have 100 per cent control of the contents, such as explicit videos and pictures that can come back to haunt you,” he warned.

Also, another new media expert, Sola Fagorusi, noted that “revenge pornography” has “ruinous implications” for the victim; and called on members of the public to exercise great caution.

He stated that users of new media gadgets, especially smartphones, tablets, computers and digital storage devices with possible revenge pornography content on them, should be careful with the way they handle or dispose them, such that they do not “end up in the wrong hands.”

“With non-consensual pornography which intentionally inflicts emotional distress becoming a growing burden, it is up to people to protect themselves in addition to only engaging in relationships built on trust and a sizeable amount of caution,” Fagorusi added.

Inspiring-Meet the woman who is now friends with a man who killed her baby & chopped off her hand

This is a touching story of Alice who lost  her baby daughter and her right hand to a manic killing spree. Emmanuel wielded the machete that took both.Yet today, despite coming from opposite sides of an unspeakable shared past, Alice Mukarurinda and Emmanuel Ndayisaba are friends. She is the treasurer and he the vice president of a group that builds simple brick houses for genocide survivors. They live near each other and shop at the same market.
Daily mail reports.....
For Alice, a Tutsi, the genocide began in 1992, when her family took refuge in a church for a week. Hutu community leaders began importing machetes. Houses were burned, cars taken.
Hutu leaders created lists of prominent or educated Tutsis targeted for killing. They also held meetings where they told those in attendance how evil the Tutsis were. Like many of his Hutu neighbors, Emmanuel soaked in the message.

The situation caught fire on April 6, 1994, when the plane carrying Rwanda's president was shot down. Hutus started killing Tutsis, who ran for their lives and flooded Alice's village.
Three days later, local Hutu leaders told Emmanuel, then 23, that they had a job for him
They took him to a Tutsi home and ordered him to use his machete. A Christian who sang in his church choir, Emmanuel had never killed before. But inside this house he murdered 14 people. The next day, April 12, Emmanuel found a Tutsi doctor in hiding and killed him, too. The day after, he killed two women and a child.
'The very first family I killed, I felt bad, but then I got used to it,' he says. 'Given how we were told that the Tutsis were evil, after the first family I just felt like I was killing our enemies.
Alice, then 25, escaped with her 9-month-old daughter and a 9-year-old niece into Rwanda's green countryside, moving, hiding, moving. She hid in a forested swamp.
'There were so many bodies all over the place,' she says. 'Hutus would wake up in the morning and go hunting for Tutsis to kill.'

On April 29, Emmanuel joined Hutu soldiers searching the countryside for Tutsis. The attackers blew a whistle whenever they found a Tutsi hiding.
The murders began at 10 a.m. and lasted until 3 p.m. Alice had been hiding in a swamp for days, keeping out only the top of her face so she could breathe. That was where the Hutus found her.

They surrounded the swamp. Then they attacked.
First they killed the girls. When that was done, they came after Alice. She was sure she would die, but instinctively put up her arm up to defend herself.
Emmanuel, Alice's school mate, recognized the woman but couldn't recall her name. Perhaps that made it easier to rain down machete blows on Alice's right arm, severing it just above the wrist. He sliced her face. His colleague pierced a spear through her left shoulder.
They left her for dead.
She was bloodied, scarred, and missing a hand, yes, but not dead. Alice fell unconscious, she says, and was found three days later by other survivors. It was only then that she realized she no longer had a right hand.
In the months after the genocide, guilt gnawed away at Emmanuel. He saw his victims during nightmares. In 1996, he turned himself in and confessed.
His prison term lasted from 1997 until 2003, when Kagame pardoned Hutus who admitted their guilt. After he was freed, he began asking family members of his victims for forgiveness. He joined a group of genocide killers and survivors called Ukurrkuganze, who still meet weekly.
It was there that he saw Alice, the woman he thought he had killed.
At first he avoided her. Eventually he kneeled before her and asked for forgiveness. After two weeks of thought and long discussions with her husband, she said yes.

Human barbie ' Valeria Lukyanova 'claims interracial couples are making human race uglier

Human Barbie’28 year old Valeria Lukyanova from Ukraine has claimed that interracial couples are making the human race uglier and sparking a rise in plastic surgery.Despite people thinking she achieved her look through cosmetic surgery, she says she has only received breast implants and that her appearance is otherwise the result of diet and exercise. She told GQ magazine:
‘Ethnicities are mixing now, so there’s degeneration, and it didn’t used to be like that.Remember how many beautiful women there were in the 1950s and 1960s, without any surgery? And now, thanks to degeneration, we have this. A Russian marries an Armenian they have a kid, a cute girl, but she has her dad’s nose. She goes and files it down a little, and it’s all good.‘Everyone wants a slim figure. Everyone gets breasts done. Everyone fixes up their face if it’s not ideal, you know? Everyone strives for the golden mean. It’s global now.
On  her husband and kids, she said

Yes, I am married to somebody I have known since school. Our fathers were friends. My husband and I are very close. No, I am never going to have my own children. Once when I traveled outside my body, I remembered that I was not a human and my spirit is not a human spirit—I should not have children in this world. The very idea of having children brings out this deep revulsion in me,I’d rather die from torture because the worst thing in the world is to have a family lifestyle.’
She admitted in 2013 that she believes she is from another planet - possibly Venus, but she isn't quite sure - but is adamant she isn't human.
'I come from a place where only love and joy exist, 'But I noticed the media is only interested in negativity: show someone in a bad light, show someone's mistakes.
Ms Lukyanova’s construction worker husband Mr Idov,is also her manager
‘My husband has known me for more than ten years. He is used to me being the beauty queen at all the parties, from back when we were in school together and now at his corporate parties.’
When asked if her husband is human, she said: ...
I prefer not to talk about that, as I do not want to damage his reputation.’
Last year, she met with real life Ken(who is the male version of a barbie)and they didn't hit it off..
Some critics have alleged she is just using make-up tricks to achieve this look.Human Ken above also said after meeting her, he could tell she was a fake and was using makeupp to look like a barbie

'I cut her neck with cutlass for sacking me' - houseboy who killed magistrate says

David Idah, the houseboy of  retired Chief Magistrate Funmilola Timeyin who killed her at her residence in Laderin Estate in Abeokuta on March 28th says he killed her because she sacked him.

Idah, in an interview with Punch, said he and his boss had a good relationship when he started working with her but they fell out when she started to complain about his attitude. Idah says he wasn't paid his salary and so stole two mobile phones, a DVD player, speakers, perfume, wrist watches, three trousers and four shirts belonging to her son in order to sell them, get money and leave.

She discovered he had stolen these items and invited the police who came in and was about to begin prosecution of the 21 year old Benue indigine when she (Justice Timeyin) pleaded with them to let him off the hook and even wrote a letter of withdrawal to the police. She said she did not want Idah tried but she sacked him and told him not return to work for her again. Continue...

A few days after he was released from police custody and angered by his sack, Idah went to the retired judge's house, scaled the fence, got hold of the cutlass he used for gardening and waited for her to step out of her house and then attacked her with the cutlass, cutting her three times on the neck. She screamed for help which attracted her neighbors and vigilante in the area who caught Idah in the bush behind the house where he had gone to hide and was trying to escape...
Sadly Justice Timeyin died before she could get to the hospital.
Idah was employed by the 65year olf retired chief Magistrate to help around her house since all her children had all grown up and left the house. Idah was yesterday arraigned before the magistrate, Anthony Araba, of the Magistrate Court 1 and pleaded guilty to one count charge of Murder.

Beyonce's lil brother & his mum pictured on their way to a homeless shelter

Matthew Knowles' baby mama Alexandra is photographed with her son on their way to a homeless shelter today. The pics which were exclusively obtained by In Touch magazine shows the woman crying as her 3 year old son consoles her.

I don't mean to be insensitive but this woman is beginning to annoy me. So she can't give her child a home without a man or Beyonce? Is she for real? Can't she get a job? There are women who are taking care of 3, 4 children by themselves...what is wrong with this one? Why is she doing this to her child? She got $12k a month for a while, she didn't save? Plus doesn't she have any family to go to instead of taking her child to a homeless shelter? Or she's just being manipulative?

Nigerians hospitalised after mob attack in South Africa

Some days ago, specifically Wednesday and Thursday April 2nd and 3rd, Nigerians in Johannesburg and Pretoria were physically attacked by a group of organized gang members and Commercial Taxi drivers in South Africa. These hoodlums destroyed and looted over 25 shops belonging to Nigerians. Though no Nigerian died in the attack, Nigerian residents there say at least ten Nigerians have been hospitalized with a few battling for their lives.

The attack according to the President of the Nigerian Union in South Africa, Ikechukwu Anyene, started last week from Johanessburg where some gang members attacked some Nigerians and looted their shops. They extended the organized attack to Pretoria this week.

Anyene said the South Africans say they are angry with Nigerians residing there for selling illegal drugs to South Africans. Continue...
"Officials of Nigerian mission in South Africa and Union officers went round yesterday to assess the extent of damage done to business centres and shops owned by Nigerians. In Pretoria, 25 shops belonging to Nigerians were attacked and looted by the gang. Ten Nigerians are now receiving treatment in some hospitals while one of them is still in coma. We have reported the incident to the police in the central business district of Pretoria, where the bulk of the attacks took place. The South African police have made entry on our report and pledged to investigate the attacks. We have also appealed to our people (Nigerians) to be calm and law abiding because the Union and the Nigerian mission were handling the situation. As we speak, we have not recorded any attack today, April 4, and everywhere is calm,’’ Anyene said

Indonesian government pays £1.1million to save Maid who killed employee from being Beheaded in Saudi Arabia(Photo)

An Indonesian maid who was found guilty of killing her employer's wife and stealing 37,970 riyal (£5640, $10,125) in 2007 won't be beheaded after the Indonesian government has agreed to pay £1.1million ($2.1m).
Satinah Binti Jumadi Ahmad, 41, has been on death row in a Saudi Arabian prison since 2011 & has always claimed that she acted in self defence.
The family of the murdered woman agreed to settle for seven million riyal in 'blood money' instead of the execution of Ms Ahmad, an acceptable exchange under Islamic sharia law.

The Indonesian government negotiated the payment down from the 10 million riyal which had been originally requested by the The al-Garib family in 2011.
'We have agreed to give the victim’s family what they demanded,' Indonesian coordinating minister for political, legal and security affairs Djoko Suyanto said...
Talk about being valued by your country
In 2011 the beheading of Ruyati Binti Sapub, another maid found guilty of murder, infuriated the Indonesian government who claimed they were not kept properly informed on the dates and facts surrounding the execution.

The Imo State Police Command through its Anti-kidnapping Squad has arrested a 50-year old woman, Anne  Soronnade who allegedly bought a day-old baby boy for N600,000.The original mother of the baby  gave birth in a woman called Madam Nnena's house who asked to bring 30,000 to cover the expenses of taking care of her during pregnancy.

She left her baby to go and look for the money and when she came back, her baby had been sold for 600,000 naira ..Here is what the mother told "The Sun"

"I was impregnated by my boyfriend and my parents chased me out. I informed my boyfriend about the pregnancy and he told me to go for abortion. It was during this confusion that I met Madam Nnenna who promised to assist me.
I stayed in her house throughout the period I was pregnant and I was delivered of a baby boy at Umuaka in Njaba. Madam Nnenna later told me that I would pay her N30,000 for taking care of me and for ante-natal. So, I ran back to my parents to collect some money but before I came back, she had run away with my baby.
I later reported the case to the Imo Security Network and Chief Nwanna assisted us to recover the baby from the suspect. He however handed over my child back to her. I later reported the case to the police and the suspect was arrested.”
The 50 year old who bought the boy said...
“ I am  happily married . I have six girls but I was looking for a boy. I have visited all the motherless baby homes if I could adopt a baby boy but they all turned down my applications. My first daughter is 25 years old while my last child is 18 years old. I was desperate to have a baby boy. My husband never quarreled with me because I didn’t give him a male child but I needed a baby boy.It is true that I had to pay an advance  payment of N200,000 to Madam Martina Obioha who claimed  to  have a maternity home  to get me a baby boy when it was available. She sold the child to me in February 2013 after paying the balance. I took the baby home and my husband didn’t complain. I breastfed the baby. I named him Chukwudim. It was one year later that the policemen from Anti-Kidnapping Squad came and arrested me in my house. It is only God that can deliver me from this mess,” she said amid tears.
The commissioner revealed further that another suspect, one Chief Emmanuel Nwanna was also involved because the report of the missing boy was brought to him at Ihiona  Orlu as a co-ordinator of  Imo Security Network but he allegedly connived with some other persons and returned the child to Soronnade instead of the complainant.
We arrested one Chief Emmanuel Nnamani, a co-coordinator of Imo Security Network who was involved in the child trafficking. Also the investigation  revealed that Chief  Nwanna  collected N300,000 from the suspect, Madam Soronnade before returning the baby to her”, he said, adding that instead of reporting the case to the police, Chief Emmanuel Nwanna  decided to hand over the baby boy  to the suspect  until the police swung into action and arrested the suspect, Anne Soronnade.”

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who is Facebook Inc.’s chief executive officer and also the 22nd richest person in the world as ranked by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, was paid $1 in salary for 2013, according to a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to documents lodged with the US Securities and Exchange Commission this week, Facebook’s executive directors earned less in 2013 than in the year of the flotation, with multi-billionaire Zuckerberg earning just $1 after waiving both his salary and cash bonus.

The 29-year-old entrepreneur is following in the footsteps of Apple’s Steve Jobs, and Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin, by claiming only a nominal salary

Zuckerberg has, in the past, collected a decent salary, earning $503,205 in 2012. He also made $653,165 last year versus $1.99 million in 2012. The money went largely to fund private planes and his security program, according to the filing.

The 29 year-old Zuckerberg’s wealth is estimated at $27 billion.

He also owns 61.6% of voting power in the company, giving him carte blanche to forge ahead with deals like the $19 billion pending WhatsApp acquisition and last week’s $2 billion proposed takeover of Oculus.

Is Rihanna moving in with Drake?

AGN: Clarion Chukwura condemns Ibinabo Fiberesima’s tenure

Clarion Chukwura has rated Ibinabo Fiberisima’s administration poorly

Trouble seems to be lurking in the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria as veteran actress, Clarion Chukwura, has condemned the guild’s president, Ibinabo Fiberisima, rating her administration zero.

In a chat with our correspondent, 49-year-old Chukwura expressed disappointment at the state of the guild, describing the present administration as corrupt and lacking vision.

‘I would rate her zero because nothing tangible has been achieved on the issue of welfare and working conditions of the actors. It is commendable that she secured an appointment to see the President on behalf of the guild but the opportunity was sacrificed on the altar of self interest and myopic objectives which has for a while now heightened the self interests and corruption practiced in the state chapter levels,’ she said.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the guild, Abubakar Yakubu, has reacted to Chukwura’s allegations, blaming it on her ignorance. According to him, most of the things complained about are already in Fiberisima’s plans.

‘She’s been too far from the guild, that is why she still complained about the things she did because the president and her team are working on most of them,

Chris Brown flown to DC with other prisoners in Con Air

I don't like the way they are trying to beat this guy completely down. Chris Brown's legal team's last ditch effort to transport him personally to Washington D.C. for his misdemeanor assault trial has been denied and Chris is headed to D.C. on Con Air...a prisoner aircraft...with other criminals

TMZ reports...
Chris Brown has just been picked up by federal marshals on what will be one of the longest journeys across the country since the prop plane era ... TMZ has learned.
Sources connected with the case tell us Chris is on his way to a federal holding facility in San Bernardino to begin his long trip to Washington D.C. where he will stand trial for assault.
Later today Chris will board a airplane -- guarded by U.S. Marshals and appropriately restrained -- but the flight is NOT a non-stop. In fact, we're told there are so many stops he probably won't get there until Sunday. Continue...
We're told all of these flights go through Oklahoma, with stops along the way to pick up other prisoners.

Chris will be in D.C. for a hearing Monday where his lawyer, Mark Geragos, will try to get the charges dismissed because he believes prosecutors inappropriately used the grand jury to gain an unfair advantage in the criminal case.

Now here's the thing. If Geragos loses, Chris will sit in a D.C. jail facility until his D.C. trial kicks off on April 17.

'I don't like poor men admiring me' - Fast rising actress, Lizzy Gold

Nollywood actress, Lizzy Gold, says the major criteria for any man to woo her is that he must be rich and that no poor man should even think of admiring her picture, let alone 'toast' her. In a chat with Entertainment Express, Lizzy also said bank alerts turn her on. What she said below...
"A poor man shouldn't even think of admiring my picture, not to talk of wooing me. I love money so much so I can't marry a poor man. I don't even want a man who is merely comfortable. My interest and affection are for millionaires, if possible billionaires. Money means so much to me, in fact money makes me wet. Sometimes when I imagine so much money in my account, I could just get wet. Bank alert is like my best friend. I just need to imagine so much money in my account and I am turned on. When I get a credit alert on my account, Oh my God, I get turned on immediately.
Lizzy says asides having money and being willing to spend it on her, another very important thing she looks out for in a man is that he must be well 'endowed'.

Prophet in police net over false prophecy

Alphonsus Ezie, a 56year old prophet with the Celestial Church of Christ Igando District, Lagos State has been arrested and remanded in prison by the police for tricking his congregation with a false prophecy, PM news reports.

Prophet Ezie had on a Sunday service prophesied seeing some members of his congregation traveling to Netherland for greener pastures and coming back home successful. He asked all those interested in making the prophecy fulfilled in their lives to meet with his friend, Mr Samuel, a travel agent, to help them with their travel papers. And Mr Samuel disappeared with their money..lol. Continue

16 unsuspecting members  excitedly met with  Mr Samuel in a hotel in Ejigbo where they made various payments to him for their travel documents. Among those who paid for the documents were;
Julius Adefisoye, N217,000;
Mathew Oyedele, N125,000;
Kinsley John, N120,000;
James Obiakpo, N240,000, who paid for himself and fiancee;  Adewumi Osisoya N70,000; Akimbami Kunle, N50,000 and Lekan Ogundepo, N50,000.
Trouble started when the members waited for months without seeing Mr Samuel or the travel documents they had paid for. They alerted the Igando Police Station and the prophet was arrested alongside Mr Samuel. Both men were charged to the Ejigbo Magistrate court where they pleaded not guilty.

A N100,000 bail was set for both men with two sureties in like manner and are currently in police custody pending when they fulfill their bail conditions.

Girl shares pic evidence to prove she didn't know she was pregnant

20 year old Sophie Aldridge gave birth to her son in November 2013 and claims she didn't know she was pregnant until the day she gave birth because she didn't have a baby bump. When no one believed her, Sophie produced pictures she took during her pregnancy...and said if anyone had told her then that she was pregnant, she never would have believed it.
‘I know it might sound stupid to some people, but I had no idea I was pregnant. To give birth suddenly and without warning as I did was absolutely terrifying. I didn’t have any symptoms. I didn’t get morning sickness. I was wearing my usual size ten clothes. I had regular periods throughout the pregnancy, and I didn’t have any cravings.’ She tells Daily Mail
Pic on the left is Sophie in the first month of her pregnant. Center pic is Sophie at 4months and right pic is Sophie at five months. So hard to believe but continue to read her story...

From UK Daily Mail...
Left: Sophie at six months and right Sophie at seven months

As for Sophie not knowing she was pregnant, this is something that sparks defensiveness. Which is understandable, perhaps, when you consider that since her story appeared in the Daily Mail on Wednesday, she has been labelled a fantasist, a liar and even a benefits scrounger.

Sophie, a support worker for adults with autism, retorts:
‘People are saying I’m doing it for attention, and that Thomas is a burden to the taxpayer. But I was working full-time before my pregnancy, and I’m going back to work.
‘I really didn’t have a clue I was expecting. I’m not stupid. If I had missed a period or had had any sign at all, I would have gone straight to the doctor to have it checked out.’
Incredible as it seems, Sophie insists that her menstrual cycle was regular for the entire nine months - though experts question whether or not this is physically possible.
‘You can’t have periods during a pregnancy. Pregnancy hormones can cause regular bleeding during the first trimester, which can be mistaken for periods,’ says independent midwife Nikki Khan.
And light bleeding - spotting - can occur throughout the pregnancy.
'But there is normally a cause for this, such as cervical erosion or a low lying placenta, and it should always be checked out.’
So can anyone really carry a baby to full term and not have a clue about it?
Sophie is sketchy as to the father’s identity. When pushed, she admits he works at a local hotel, is two years her senior and went to her school.

They had been dating for around six weeks when she fell pregnant last February.
‘Normally, I would use contraception but you make mistakes when you’re young,’ she says.
She wasn’t taking the Pill, so when asked if the couple were using condoms; Sophie said
‘I was … most of the time. There was probably a one-off. I was stupid. I’ve been brought up to know what’s right and wrong - but people make mistakes. It’s just one of those things.’
They separated in May, for reasons which Sophie refuses to discuss. ‘There was no connection and it wasn’t working out,’ is all that she is prepared to say on the matter.
In the meantime, Sophie continued burning the candle at both ends - often juggling 12-hour days with her hectic social life.
With this, unfortunately, came drinking and smoking - both potentially damaging to an unborn child.
‘Of course I wish I hadn’t now,’ she says. ‘And, of course, I would never have done so had I known I was pregnant.

At an all-day festival in July, I got through a crate - that’s 24 bottles - of beer. I’d been smoking all day every day. I’d done none of the things pregnant women are supposed to do. ‘Of course, the first thing I worried when I found out I was in labour was that there would be something wrong with my baby.’

With good reason, given that foetal alcohol syndrome - damage to the feotus caused by excessive alcohol consumption - is one of the most prevalent intellectual disabilities in the Western World.

Miraculously, though, doctors say Thomas was not affected.

One theory put forward by sceptics is that Sophie was in deep denial over her pregnancy - and simply refused to face up to the truth.
She insists this wasn’t the case. It was just that she didn’t experience any of the normal signs of pregnancy.
‘My breasts didn’t change size, my periods remained regular, and I didn’t put on any weight. If I had had any suspicions, the first thing I would have done is to have got checked.’
Given that this baby was so obviously unplanned, would she have considered terminating the pregnancy had she had the opportunity? Again, she says no, saying simply: ‘I don’t brush off my responsibilities.’
When she started getting sporadic cramps at 3 am on November 13, she put them down to a stomach bug.
‘I couldn’t sleep and kept going back to the toilet,’ she says. ‘I thought maybe it was something I ate. Next day, I had to call in sick.’

Her mum, Sylvia, a 48-year-old carer, suggested she take some paracetamol and have a bath. It didn’t help.

At 6pm, Sylvia called the out-of-hours doctor service, 111. They told her to go to the chemist, where she picked up some Imodium. It didn’t work.
‘The cramps became more regular and got worse,’ says Sophie. ‘I was rolling around in pain.’
In despair, Sylvia took her daughter to Buckland Hospital in Dover at 10pm to see the on-call doctor.
‘He prodded my stomach and asked if I could be pregnant,’ says Sophie. ‘I said no. He said I had a stomach bug, gave me some painkillers and sent me home at 10.30 pm.’
By midnight, her pain was so bad that her mother called for an ambulance. The paramedics, who examined her stomach, drove her to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent. Her dad Derek, a 47-year-old cleaner, followed behind in his car.

On the journey, Sophie’s waters broke and she had an all-consuming urge to empty her bowels.
That’s when her mother clicked. ‘I realised for the first time she must be pregnant,’ she says. ‘I was shocked, and my first thought was whether the baby was going to be born alive.’
The ambulance activated its sirens and speeded up to 90 mph. Sophie was rushed into Accident and Emergency - there was no time to go to the maternity ward - and gave birth 15 minutes later in an empty cubicle in the department.
‘Mum was telling me to push and Dad was squeezing my hand,’ she says. ‘Everything happened so quickly. I was panicked and confused.’
Midwives delivered her son at 1.35am and placed him on her chest.
‘I felt a bond straight away. As I looked into his eyes, I felt an overwhelming rush of love.
‘As terrified as I was by the speed of events, the moment I saw him I just couldn’t imagine my life without him.’
The next morning, her brother Andrew, 26, phoned Thomas’s dad.
‘He was as shocked as I was,’ reports Sophie. ‘He didn’t say sorry. He knew we were both to blame.
‘He came to see us in hospital. He’d bought vests and a teddy.’

Her boss - an understanding woman by the sounds of it - also visited them. ‘I’d only started my new job four weeks earlier, but she said I could take as much time off as I needed.’
By the time Sophie left hospital two days later, friends and family had clubbed together to buy her a cot, buggy, baby clothes and a Moses basket: ‘Until then, I didn’t have so much as a nappy to my name,’ she says.

Thomas was given his own room and the family attempted to restore a semblance of normality.
