"The issue of the stadium has been put to us, as well as other companies. We are talking," Maria Garana, the head of Microsoft's Spanish division, told the Antena 3 television network. "We have excellent relations with Real Madrid. They are using our technology and that makes us very proud," she said. Florentino Perez, chairman of the world's richest football club, has said he wanted to renovate the 85,000-seat stadium. I've Made Up My Mind, Reveals Lewandowsk!!! Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has told interested clubs not to bother approaching him over a summer transfer as he has already made a decision on his future. The 25-year-old recently announced that he would sign a contract with Bayern Munich in January after a move to the German champions fell through during the summer, only to claim shortly after that he had been misunderstood. His latest comments put clubs such as Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United on red alert, but Lewandowski has now made it clear that he has already made up his mind. "I am feeling very well at Dortmund, but I want a new challenge next season," Lewandowski told Sport Bild. "I can only say one thing about my future and that's that I will announce my decision next year. "No club has to bother with a fresh approach. While Arsenal may be five points clear at the top of the English table, Wenger's side are certainly not having it all their own way in Europe. Dortmund secured a 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago with a late goal from Robert Lewandowski and warmed up for their next European tie with a 6-1 victory over Stuttgart, when the Poland forward plundered a hat-trick. Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has always challenged his side - which last season reached the final of the Champions League - to play the game in the right way and also "run 10 kilometres more" than the opposition. Mourinho right to blast Chelsea - Schurrle!! Andre Schurrle has warned Schalke that Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways against them in the Champions League on Wednesday. A six-game winning run was abruptly ended on Saturday by Newcastle in the Premier League, a result that angered manager Jose Mourinho and led him to criticise his players publicly. Schurrle, a summer signing from Bayer Leverkusen, has said that Mourinho is right to highlight the team's shortcomings and insisted Chelsea have to be fully focused on victory in every competition. "I think it's normal that he was frustrated," Schurrle said. "We had a bad match and we didn't play well. It's only normal that the manager wasn't very happy with us. When we do something wrong or don't play well he always tells us straight away. But he also does it directly - face to face with us. "That's good because after that, after he's told you, you know you have to do something to prove him wrong, to prove we are a good team and that we can play well. "But it's quite right when you lose, or don't play that well, that the manager should criticise you. We know we have to reach the standards the manager wants from us, all the time. Meanwhile, Frank Lampard says that Mourinho is entitled to rotate his squad after the defeat to Newcastle. Mourinho claimed he made 11 mistakes in his selection for the game at St. James' Park and could make changes against Schalke in the Champions League. In his previous spell as manager at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho had a core of players that he relied upon but Lampard believes the squad is too strong for that now. Chelseamanager Jose Mourinho has called for an immediate response from his players against Schalke in the Champions League on Wednesday following their unscheduled defeat at Newcastle United. The Europa League champions appeared to be gathering momentum after winning all six of their matches in all competitions in October, only to slump to a 2-0 loss at St James' Park in the Premier League on Saturday. On Wednesday they will be bidding to repair their home record in European competition, having seen a 29-game unbeaten run in the Champions League group phase ended by Basel in their opening Group E fixture. Their subsequent victories away to Steaua Bucharest (4-0) and Schalke (3-0) took them to the top of the pool, but another setback at Stamford Bridge would compromise their chances of reaching the last 16. "We are in a stable position to qualify in the Champions League, but if we lose again we are in a difficult position," Mourinho told the Chelsea website. "So Wednesday is an important game for us." Mourinho has vowed to shake up his starting XI, having been critical of his players' application after the defeat at Newcastle. Andre Schurrle, Willian and Samuel Eto'o will all hope to start after coming on from the bench against Alan Pardew's side, while Juan Mata's place once again looks at risk after he was hooked in the 62nd minute. "I will make changes. Not 11 changes because that would be too much, but changes for sure," said Mourinho. "I don't know my best team because we have this kind of performance (against Newcastle). "I know basically which is my best team, but it depends on the way we perform because performances and results push you for decisions." Mourinho can at least console himself that, with the exception of long-term knee injury victim Marco van Ginkel, he has a full complement of players to choose from. The same cannot be said of his Schalke counterpart Jens Keller, whose injury-ravaged squad have been unable to keep pace in the Bundesliga this season. Schalke won 2-0 away to Hertha Berlin on Saturday, but they are languishing in sixth place -- 12 points behind leaders Bayern Munich -- after losing four of their opening 11 games. The Gelsenkirchen club have been hit by injuries to Marco Hoger, Jefferson Farfan, Chinedu Obasi and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, although Greek centre-back Kyriakos Papadopoulos is close to a return from a knee problem after playing for Schalke's reserves last weekend. One positive by-product of the injury blight has been the emergence of youngsters such as 18-year-old attacking midfielder Max Meyer, who last month became the youngest player to score in three consecutive Bundesliga games. However, captain Benedikt Howedes has admitted: "We cannot compete against top teams like Chelsea at the moment." Schalke's last visit to England came almost exactly a year ago, when they won 2-0 against current Premier League leaders Arsenalen route to topping their group. Chelsea have not lost at home to a German team in six previous encounters, but Schalke may take heart from the London club's curious habit of struggling for form in November. Chelsea have won just six out of 21 games that they have played in the last three Novembers, and former manager Roberto Di Matteo paid with his job this time last year after the defending champions fell in the group phase. Goalkeeper Petr Cechsays that his side are aware of the quirk and determined not to succumb to their November hoodoo again. "But we are now in a good position in the league and a good position in the Champions League group, and we have to carry on like that because it's a long campaign.

ASUU Strike Update: Jonathan Dialogues With Officials... Moments after the meeting between the Senate President David Mark and the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, ended without any agreement on how to resolve the four-month old strike, the university lecturers immediately went into another crucial meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan. The meeting with the President which kicked off at about 2:30pm had in attendance, President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, as well as Minister of Education and Labour, Nyesom Wike and Emeka Wogu. The ASUU delegation comprised National President of ASUU, Dr Nasir Fagge and other executives of the union. President of Nigerian Labour Congress, Mallam Abdulwaheed Omar was also in attendance. While exchanging pleasantries with the ASUU delegation, President Jonathan said: “I hope this strike will end today. Our children have suffered enough. We must find a solution.” Earlier, at the end of their meeting, both ASUU and the Senate President did not agree to call off the strike after the union had presented its position before Senator Mark, although the union expressed optimism that the intervention of the Senate might bring a lasting solution to the crisis. Speaking in an interview after a closed-door session with the Senate, ASUU President, Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge said the meeting was convened at the instance of the Senate and that after presenting their position, the union was waiting for the Senate’s reaction to their position.When asked whether the closed door meeting was conclusive, Dr. Fagge whose answer was in the negative, however, said that the intervention by the Senate President was a welcome development to get the crisis sorted out for the universities to be re-opened and that the union was waiting for the outcome. Senate President, David Mark said: “As you are aware, I have been mandated by the Senate to meet with you and the Federal Government to resolve this crisis as soon as possible so that the children will go back to the classrooms and I believe that is what you also want. “So we are on the same wave length, just a matter of approach to get it right. I sympathise with your cause and I believe whatever can be done for you to go back to your work should be done and as quickly as possible. “I think this is long overdue for us to sort out. So, the intervention as you may know, the Senate mandated me to talk to both ASUU and talk with Mr. President and that is precisely what am doing. “At the end of the day, it is not how long we dragged this matter that is important but how soon we sort it out. We will sort it out so that there will be no winner, no loser. “It is not a matter of ego, it is not a matter of who has an upper hand or who has won in this dispute. National interest is what is at stake. Our students have been out of classrooms for four months now and that is not in the best interest of anybody. “We are not happy about it, the parents are not happy and the government is not happy. So if something is going on and we are not happy about it the proper thing is to have it resolved as quickly as possible.” ASUU President, Dr. Fagge said, “Members of ASUU are not just lecturers. We are also parents and also among us we have students who are pursuing post-graduate degrees so this strike directly affects us negatively.” Source: Vanguard
