Writers who are football fans... 1 /20 Albert Camus, the French author and philosopher whose centenary is being celebrated (he was born on November 7, 1913, and died in 1960 at the age of 46), is the only footballer to have won the Nobel Prize for Literature (1957). As a teenager, he played in goal for Racing Universitaire Algerios, a university side that went on to win the North African Champions Cup. His quote about football is one of the most celebrated in the game: 'All that I know most surely about morality and obligations I owe to football,' he said – a quote that has appeared on countless T-shirts and posters.Picture: AFP/Getty
