Why has Zinedine Zidane quit Real Madrid? Real reason behind shock exit revealed

According to Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, there are issues in theReal Madridcamp that Zidane now no longer wants to deal with.Moments after Zidane shocked the world by announcing he is leaving, just days after his third Champions League win, Balague revealed:

“He feels the players are not listening to him, he’s not that important. It feels like that’s what he’s trying to say.“He feels someone else has to come in and deal with it. He feels the dynamics have changed to a point.

“He’s taken the team to nine out of 13 titles -what else does he have to do at Real Madrid?“It’s not so much they cannot be managed, to just manage the situations that are coming up, like Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, he does not want it.

“The players were told in a message today. He’s only spoken to Sergio Ramos and intends to speak to other captains in the next few hours.“He felt he had talk to one of the leaders in the club and that was Sergio Ramos.

”Zidane is leaving the European champions after winning an unprecedented third straight Champions League title, he told a news conference at midday."I think it's the moment, both for me, the team and the club (to step down). It's a strange moment to do so, I know, but an important one too. I had to do this for everyone," he said.

"This side should carry on winning and needs a change for this. After three years it needs another voice, another method of work, for this I took this decision."

Zidane became the first coach to win a thirdstraight European Cup when Real beat Liverpool 3-1 on Saturday, capping a remarkable period in his first job in seniorclub management.

"I love this club a lot, the president, who gave me everything - to play first at this great club. I'll always be thankful. Today I need to change, for me, for everyone, for this I've taken the decision," Zidane added.

Balague now thinks Zidane could be in line to become the next manager of France. He added: “I don’t think he will retire as a manager. He has the idea of being national team coach of France and I’m sure that will happen.

“If things don’t work in a direction he wants, he senses that he’s not tired of a manager. He senses players need something new, a new voice.“They have won a lot, someone else has to lead them now.”

The Frenchman took over a divided dressing room after the sacking of Rafael Benitez in January, 2016 and immediately set about uniting the squad. He claimed the first of his hat-trick of European triumphs two years ago when Real defeated local rivals Atletico Madrid on penalties in the final.

A year later he led Real to their first European Cup and La Ligadouble in 59 years.Real finished three points ahead of Barcelona as they won their first league title since 2012 before crushing Juventus 4-1in the Champions League final to become the first side to win the competition in its current format in back-to-back seasons.

Zidane won nine major honours as Real coach and the 45-year-old's crowning glorycame last Saturday as he joined an elite group of managers including Bob Paisley and Carlo Ancelotti by lifting the European Cup for the third time as coach.

Kanye West releases new song defending his support for Donald Trump

Kanye West has just released a new song to defend his support of US President Donald Trump. In spite of the backlash he faced from friends and fans for declaring his love and support for Trump, Kanye has refused to back down.

If anything, he has doubled efforts to defend his support for the controversial US President. In a track titled Ye vs. The People feat. TI, Kanye argued with TI about his support for Trump.  The song acts as a political debate between the two rappers. TI represented the people who disagree with Kanye.

He took Kanye to task over his support ofDonald Trump and Kanye defended his decision to support Trump.Defending his position, Kanye says he is ultimately "aligning with love", but T.I. explains that his actions are selfish because of his huge impact on his fans and also that Trump's political agenda stems more from hate than love."You representin' dudes who seem crude and cold-hearted," argues T.I., adding that West is emboldening "white supremacy".

But Kanye stands his ground, insisting that he's "fighting for the people".Alluding to a photo he posted of himself wearing Donald Trump's famous Make America Great Again baseball cap, West raps:"Wearing the hat will show people that we are equal.""You gotta see the vantage point of the people," spits back T.I."What makes you feel equal makes them feel evil."Kanye refused to be swayed during the argument, so they ultimately could only agree to disagree.

Check some of the song's lyrics below.

Kanye: You just readin' the headlines, you don't see the fine print / You on some choosin'-sideshit, I'm on some unified shit.

T.I. : It's bigger than your selfish agenda / If your election ain't gon' stop police from murderin' niggas, then shit...

Kanye: Bruh, I never ever stopped fightin' for the people / Actually wearin' the hat'll show people that we equal.

T.I. :You gotta see the vantage point of the people / What makes you feel equal makes them feel evil.

Kanye: I know Obama was Heaven-sent / But ever since Trump won, it proved that I couldbe President.

T.I. : Yeah you can, at what cost though? / Don't that go against theteachings that 'Ye taught for?

Kanye: Yo, Tip, I hear your side and everybody talk, though / But ain't goin' against the grain everything I fought for?

T.I. :Prolly so, Ye, but where you tryna go with this? It's some shit you just don't align with and don't go against

Kanye: See that's the problem with this damn nation / All Blacksgotta be Democrats, man, we ain'tmade it off the plantation.
T.I. : Fuck who you choose as your political party / You representin' dudes just seem crude and cold-hearted / With blatant disregard for the people who put you in position / Don't you feel an obligation to them?

Kanye: I feel a obligation to showpeople new ideas / And if you wanna hear 'em, there go two right here / Make America Great Again had a negative reception / I took it, wore it, rocked it, gave it anew direction / Added empathy, care and love and affection / And y'all simply questionin' my methods.

TI : What you willin' to lose for the point to be proved? / This shitis stubborn, selfish, bullheaded, even for you / You wore a dusty ass hat to represent the same views / As white supremacy, man,we expect better from you / All them times you sounded crazy, we defended you, homie / Not just to be let down when we depend on you, homie / That's why it's important to know what direction you're goin' now / 'Cause everything that you built can be destroyed and torn down.

Kanye: You think I ain't concerned about how I affect the past? / I mean, that hat stayed in my closet like 'bout a year and a half / Then one day I was like,"Fuck it, I'ma do me" / I was in the sunken place and then I found thenew me / Not worried about some image that I gotta keep up /Lot of people agree with me, but they too scared to speak up

North Korea agrees to invite US experts to shut down Nuclear test site next month

North Korea promised to close its atomic test site next month and invite US weapons experts tothe country as Donald Trump expressed optimism about securing a nuclear deal in his summit with the secretive regime.

The reported pledge from the North’s leader Kim Jong Un follows weeks of whirlwind diplomacy that saw Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-in agree to pursue the complete denuclearisation of the peninsula during a historic summit on Friday.

“Kim said, during the summit withPresident Moon, that he would carry out the closing of the nuclear test site in May,” Seoul’s presidential spokesman Yoon Young-chan said.  Kim said he “would soon invite experts of South Korea and the US as well as journalists to disclose the process to the international community with transparency”, Yoon added.

Tension has been high on the flashpoint peninsula since last year when the North carried its sixth and most powerful atomic test and test-fired missiles capable of reaching the US mainland.  “Kim said ‘the US feels repelled by us, but once we talk, they will realise that I am not a person who will fire a nuclear weapon to the South or the US ortarget the US,” according to Yoon.“If we meet often (with the US), build trust, end the war and eventually are promised no invasion, why would we live with the nuclear weapons?'”  Kim also slammed speculation during his meeting with Moon that the Punggye-ri test site was already unusable after an underground tunnel there reportedly collapsed.  “As they will see once they visit, there are two more tunnels (in the test site) that are even bigger… and they are in good condition,” he was quoted as saying.

.The US leader has been eager to play up his role in achieving a breakthrough with Pyongyang through his “maximum pressure”campaign involving tough rhetoric, strengthened global sanctions and diplomatic efforts to further isolate the regime.  “Months ago, do you remember what they were saying? ‘He’s going to get us into nuclear war, they said,'” Trump told supporters in Washington Township, north of Detroit.  “No, strength is going to keep us out of nuclear war, not going to get us in!” he added.  But Trump also sounded a note of caution, sayinghe was prepared to walk away if US demands for North Korea to relinquish its atomic arsenal in a complete, verifiable and irreversible way were not met.

His remarks came as his new Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told ABC News he had a “good conversation” with Kim during his secret visit to Pyongyang over Easter weekend, adding that Kim was “prepared to… lay out a map that would help us achieve” denuclearisation.

Super Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr explains why he can't marry a Nigerian woman

Super Eagles’ head coach,Gernot Rohr, has explained why he can't marry a Nigerian woman. Speaking in a recent interview with the Sun, the 64-year-old German tactician cited cultural background and language difference as main reasons he won’t marry a Nigerian when asked about the possibility of marrying a second wife just like former Nigerian manager,Clemens Westerhof got married to a Zimbabwean lady.

In his words, he said: “My president (Amaju Pinnick) joked about it recently. He said he was going to hand me a Nigerian woman and we all laughed about it.

““To be sincere, Nigerian ladies are very beautiful and tempting but it is going to be very difficult to marry one. Language and cultural background will be a serious barrier,” he added.

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho wants to stay at Old Trafford for longest unbroken spell

And nowManchester Unitedboss Mourinhohas revealed that, at a youthful 55, he could also carry on managing until he’s drawing his old-age pension.Mourinho is at the Theatre of Dreams for the foreseeable future, happy to go beyond the three years and three months in his first stint at Chelsea.Asked if he could stay at Old Trafford for his longest unbroken spell, he said: “I think so.

To be honest at other clubs I had the feeling of already thinking about ‘What next?’. I had things I had to do. I had to go toItaly for sure. I had to go to Spain for sure.“At this moment, there isn’t anything around the corner.

I don’t want to do anything different to what I am doing now.”So could Mourinho carry on in the toughest job in football until the ripe old age of his rival Wenger?

“For sure,” Mourinho said with a smile. “I will have to change clubs, though, because you don’t allow me to stay here.“I think until the point you lose your motivation you keep improving. But I can’t see myself doing 22 years at one club because you don’t allow it.

“It’s too much pressure – not just for the manager but for the club, especially without any kind of success. To have four or five years to get a trophy and change theteam, I don’t think you allow that any more.

Am I a better manager now than 10 years ago? Yes, in every way. I am the same, nothing has changed. My passion for the job is the same and my sense of responsibility, emotional control is better.

“Obviously I am much more mature. At every level, training, matches, relations withthe players, it feels like everything is déjà vu.“It is very difficult now that there is something in my professional life I am surprised with or I don’t know how to react. I have had it before.“So yes, it is a job where the more experience you have the better you are.

You just have to keep this motivational level. I believe that one day a manager can say it is enough. They don’t want more.“Until a manager decides that, I think you get better and better.”

So Mourinho will witness the end of an era with Wenger riding off into the sunset, probably to another club on the European circuit. So how should Wenger be remembered?Mourinho added: “First of all, I don’t think he is dead. And I don’t think he ends his career. Until I have different information, heis only going to end his career as Arsenal manager.

“I am going to remember him as a big opponent. As the manager of The Invincibles. The Invincibles I met when I arrived in the country in 2004. The Invincibles who made me a better coach.“That’s the way I’d remember him.”

The governor stated that the federal government and the affected states will stilliron out the interventions expected from the two parties. The governor said though visa is not allowed for movement of those from West African countries herdsmen from neighbouring countries would be expected to show some travel documents.Similarly, the minister of agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, said the federal government will no longer allow the killings to continue.

Breaking: Senators call for President Buhari’s impeachment

Members of the Nigerian senate this morning moved a motion forthe impeachment of President Buhari. According to Premium Times, the senators moved the motion because the President did not seek the National Assembly's approval before the withdrawal of the $496 million used for the purchase of aircraft from the United States.

Section 143 of the Nigerian constitution provides for the removal of the president from office.

Senator Matthew Uroghide who moved the motion for the impeachment, said President Buhari’s move was a violation of the Constitution and thus, he should face the consequences. He prayed the Senate to invoke Section 143 to start the impeachment process of the President.

Seconding the motion, Senator Chukwuka Utazi spoke in supportof the move.“This is an impeachable offence,” an obviously angry Senator Utazi, said.

On Wednesday, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, read a letter from President Buhari informing the house that the money had been withdrawn and paid to the United States for the 12 Super Tucano aircraft, ahead of legislative approval. The planes will be delivered in 2020.

“Recently, approval was granted by the United States government but with a deadline, within which part payment must be made otherwise the contract relapses. In the expectation that the National Assembly will have no objection to the purchase of these highly specialised aircraft, which is critical to national security, I granted anticipatory approval for the release of $496,374,470.This was paid directly into the treasury of the United States government. I am therefore writing seeking approval of the Senate for the sum of $496,374,470 (equivalent to N151,394, 421,035) to be included in the 2018 Appropriation Bill which the National Assembly is currently finalising. The balance of the requirement for critical operational equipment is still being collated from the different security services and will be presented in the form of a supplementary appropriation bill in due cause.”

Most of the senators argue that this is a breach of the constitution and that President Buhari must face the consequence.

The inscriptions on placards could possibly read thus, ‘Enough of bloodshed and unlawful killings in Nigeria’; ‘FG release Leah Sharibu from the bondage’; ‘Stop herdsmen killings’; and several other inscriptions that could reawaken the consciousness of the politicalleaders.” CAN president said The umbrella body of Christians in Nigeria reminded the government of its oath of office and constitutional responsibility of protecting citizens, and charged authorities to quit unnecessary excuses and rise to the occasion.

Man Utd star Paul Pogba speaks out over Jose Mourinho relationship and transfer rumours

Pogba was dropped for Manchester United’s Champions League games against Sevilla earlier in the season amid reports he and Mourinho were involved in a training ground bust-up.The £89million man has repeatedly been criticised by Mourinho during a testing campaign but he insists all is well off the pitch.

“I have no problem with him, and I don't think he has a problem,” Pogba said in an interview on French TV's Canal Football Club on Sunday evening.“He put me in as captain and he has given me responsibilities in a great club like United.“I am a player, and I like to give the best of myself.

“He is the coach, he has to make decisions and I am a player, I accept them, I have to answer on the pitch.“A coach makes his choices for the team, not for one player, he takes me out and puts someone else in.“It is only because he is looking for something else, and the players must accept that.”

Pogba has blown hot and cold in recent weeks, with his man-of-the-match displays against Manchester City and Bournemouth coming in between a lacklustre outing vs West Brom.He shone at Wembley on Saturday as United beat Tottenham to reach the FA Cup final.

Persistent rumours of a transfer, however, have not died down.Paul Pogbahas been linked with a move away from Old Trafford as a result of his struggles.

A potential move to Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain has been mooted, while he was also offered to Manchester City in January, but the 25-year-old has no interest in the speculation. He said: “Right now I am at Man United and I am thinking solely about the present, the FA Cup and the coming World Cup.“I am not thinking about transfers or any ofthat.”

Prof Wole Soyinka says 'governance in Nigeria has collapsed'

On Sunday, Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka declared that governance in Nigeria has collapsed, noting that democracy and the society are totally in danger. He said enemies of democracy, who inaugurated certain policies which contributed to the nation’s woes are once again coming out and positioning themselves as saviours and messiahs ahead of the 2109 general election.

Speaking during the 80th posthumous birthday celebrationof the late legal luminary and human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehin-mi (SAN), in Lagos, Soyinka called for drastic actionsto rescue the already endangeredNigeria’s democracy.

In his words: “All I want to say in connection with the title of today’s event is just one word; vigilance. Please be vigilant.  The theme of the gathering today is most pertinent. There is no question whatsoever that democracy is in danger; not just democracy; in fact, the society is in danger. I do not believe any moment in my existence in this world and in this nation specifically what I have felt myself in an environment of mere total collapse. We all know that.

“The question is; do we see it as an opportunity to do a rescue mission or do we see it as an opportunity to take advantage once again and continue our role;our contribution for bringing the nation to its knees. In other words, it is no news whatsoever that we have reached a point where drastic actions has to be taken to rescue the nation as a corporate entity and at the same time to rescue what I called the conglomeration of protocols thatkeep us together, which we placed under the rubric of democracy.

“And so, I find it ironic that those who themselves; the enemies of democracy, who really committed acts, not just negligence but actually inaugurated certain policies which contributed to our being where we are today are once again coming out and positioning themselves as saviours and messiahs that this nation can really dream of; a nation of modestly about 200million people.

”  He continued: “I find it very strange and even stranger because at the beginning of this movement towards ‘rescuing the nation, there were one or two organisations that came out under different names and they had people in them, whom I can say was following what encouraged them and what is encouraging others to study closely and even consider following. The list thing I knew was that this movement was being hijacked by the very peoplewho laid the foundation for the collapse of the democratic edifice.

Critics inciting youths against Buhari'' Lai Mohammed

Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, has accused critics of theBuhari-led government of inciting the youths against the government. His comment comesas Nigerian youths continue to react angrily after President Buhari said most of them are lazy and wait for government to provide them free education, healthcare and housing.

In an interview with newsmen in Abeokuta, Ogun state yesterday April 20th, Mohammed said the angry youths are being sponsored by the critics. He wondered why anyone would saythis administration is ant-youth.

“Some people have just made it their full-time job these days to scrutinise and twist whatever the President says out of context. I wonder how a government that has employed 100,000 unemployed graduates andalso feeds about 7.5 millionpeople daily could be tagged anti-youth. Our social investment programmes have continued to generate jobs and create opportunities for our teeming youths while our empowerment programmes have been providing soft loans to over 400,000 youths. Millions of families and individuals have also continued to benefit from our Conditional Cash Transfer initiative. This is agovernment that is so concerned and passionate about youth development and it is not right for people to begin to quote Mr. President out of context and thereby incite the youths against the government.” he said

North Korea will suspend nuclear and missile tests effective immediately - Kim Jung Un

Kim Jong Un has said North Korea will suspend nuclear and missile tests effective immediately and abolish a nuclear test site in the northern part of the country in a bid to pursue economic growth and peace on the Korean peninsula.

According to Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Jong Un said his country no longer needs to conduct nuclear tests orintercontinental ballistic missile tests because it has completed weaponising nuclear arms, state media

The declaration, long sought by the US, will be seen as a crucial step in the fast diplomatic dance on and around the Korean peninsula. It comes less than a week before Kim meets South Korean leader Moon Jae-in for a summit in the Demilitarized Zone that divides the peninsula, and ahead of a much-anticipated encounter with US President Donald Trump.

A message from Kim Jong Un: “North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles.”Also will “Shut down a nuclear test site in the country’s Northern Side to prove the vow to suspend nuclear tests.” Progress being made for all!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)
April21, 2018
“As the weaponisation of nuclear weapons has been verified, it is not necessary for us to conduct any more nuclear tests or test launches of mid- and long range missiles or ICBMs,” Kim told a ruling party meeting. “The northern nuclear test site has completed its mission,” he added at the gathering of the central committee of the Workers’ Party, according to the official KCNA news agency.

Arsene Wenger: Sir Alex Ferguson reveals why he is 'pleased' by Arsenal exit announcement

enger broke the news on Friday morning as the Gunners gear up for this weekend’s showdown with London rivals West Ham atthe Emirates.Arsenal are set to miss out on Champions League qualification for the second successive campaign regardless of their result against the Hammers but silverware is still in their sights.

Europa League glory would represent the 11th major honour of Wenger’s spell in north London, a portion of which was spentbattling Ferguson.Former Manchester United boss Ferguson has now explained why he is pleased by the timing of his old adversary announcing his departure.

"I am really happy forArsene Wenger," Ferguson told United’s official website."I have great respect for him and for the job he has done at Arsenal."It is great testament to his talent, professionalism and determination that he has been able to dedicate 22 years of his life to a job that he loves.

"In an era where football managers sometimes only last one or two seasons, it shows what an achievement it is to serve that length of time at a club the size of Arsenal.

"I am pleased that he has announced he is leaving at this stage of the season, as he cannow have the send-off that he truly deserves.

"He is, without doubt, one of the greatest Premier League managers and I am proud to have been a rival, a colleague and a friend to such a great man.

"Arsenal follow up Sunday’s encounter with West Ham with Premier League fixtures against United, Burnley, Leicester and Huddersfield.

Current United boss Jose Mourinho paid tribute to Wenger this morning, suggesting his hostile relationship with the Arsenal manager was artificial.

"It’s not about regretting, I think your question is a typical question from somebody that was not in this side, you were not a manager, a player, of course you don’t know the way we respect each other even when sometimes it doesn’t look like we don’t, players that get yellow cards and red cards by aggression actions against each other, bad words during the career, the manager is the same thing but the ones that respect more each other are the ones with the problems," he said.

"It’s power and ambition and quality againsteach other but in the end it’s people from the same business and respect each others’careers, so it happened, what matters for me is the way I respect the person, the professional, the career and I always say that for some the memories short, but for us football people, the real football people, who are the ones inside the four lines, playing, or the managers, or the refs, the others live on us, the football people doesn’t have short memory.

I know what it means, three PL titles and seven FA Cups, what he did in Japan and France, what he brought to French football and what he gave to Arsenal in the period without Premier League, the transition from stadium to stadium, we know what he did.

"If he’s happy with the decision, I’m really happy and I hope he doesn’t retire from football."Arsenal are set to take on Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid over two legs for a place inMay’s Europa League final.Marseille and Red Bull Salzburg will contest the other semi-final tie as they lookto secure their spot at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

''There’s no corruption in Buhari’s government'' VP Yemi Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says there is no single corruption in the Buhari-led administration. Osinbajo said this while receiving the leadership of The Companion, an association ofMuslim Businessmen and Professionals, in his office in Abuja, recently.

“One thing that is very sure now is that this presidency is not stealing and we have a President who is not stealing and will not steal. There is no corruption in the presidency under the current government. This kind of body language is what is saving this countrya lot of money now. Like what is happening in JAMB,Customs, FIRS, NPA, FAAN,NIMASA where we have witnessed improved revenue collection and returns to govt for unspent resources. When we begin to deal with corruption in all facets of government particularly within the public sector, there will be a lot of improvement in our country. The government is also looking at improving ease of doing business to  be able to attract more foreign direct investment over a period of time. All MDA’s will be made to submit their expenditure in line with the budget as well and in compliance with the accounting year” Osinbajo said

Mohamed Salah reveals how Chelsea failure has inspired stunning season with Liverpool

Salah has been a revelation forLiverpool, scoring 30 Premier League goals and inspiring them into the Champions League semi-finals.

He joined from Roma in a £39m summer move that turned heads after his failed spell atChelsea.

He joined Jose Mourinho’s side in 2014 but was loaned out to Fiorentina after just three games and then to Roma after struggling to adapt.

He eventually left on a permanent deal for the Italian capital and began showing signs of his talent.

Liverpool gambled on him and Jurgen Klopp has admitted he wasn’t his first choice but the club’s transfer committee pushed through a deal.

And Salah admits he wanted to show people ‘his football’ and stresses he wasn’t given a proper chance at Stamford Bridge.

"I know from the first day I wanted to do something different, something special,” Salah toldSky Sports.

“I was here with Chelsea, didn't get my chance, and then came back. I wanted to show everyone my football.

"I didn't play. You can see by the numbers. Ididn't have my chance, but you can see when I did get my chance I proved some people wrong.

"Because in my mind I have to succeed here, when I left the Premier League I said I'd come back, and when I had the chance, I came.

"You can see the difference [in me] between now, a year before, two years before that. Every year, every day, every month I am proving myself. I always try to see my weakness, work on it, to be better as a person and a player, everything.

You can see my body now is different thanbefore, my finishing is different, I am more comfortable on the pitch and am trying to improve every day.

"I think I have had a great season, doing very well with the team, fighting to be in thetop positions, second or third. I can't forgetwhat the team give me, the way we play, theway they support me inside and outside of the pitch.

"Salah leads the race for the golden boot with four more goals than Tottenham’s Harry Kane.He took his tally to 30 in the 3-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend and admits his team-mates are helping him out to get over the line.

"As you can see last couple of games, the players are trying to help me a lot now to score goals, because they know now I am in for the Golden Boot. In the end it is an individual award, but it also helps the team gets the points.

The way we play is very good, and you cansee the fans are very happy and I feel very good about that, I feel they want me to win something."It's the last four games, so it's very clear, I play for it. In the beginning I played for it, but it's always for the team. I want to score for the team.

"But before, when I was second to Kane, I had a chance to score, I gave it to Bobby [Roberto Firmino] and he scored, I play football for football not just to think about myself. I give assists, I create chances, because I can't forget my position. I play still on the wing, not No 9. I play for the team and everyone can see that.

"Honestly as you can see, I have had a greatseason and still some games to go. For anyone the most important thing is to play good, to perform good, to score goals for your team. I am happy in the city, for the club and for myself for sure. It means a lot."

Appeal Court approves freezing of Governor Fayose's accounts by EFCC

Recalled that upon the judgment of the lower court, the governor withdrew the sum of N5m and transferred the sum of N75m to his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome SAN

The lead judge to the three-man appeal court panel, Honourable Justice J.SIkeyegha directed the freezing of the account of Fayose forthwith.Meanwhile, minister of solid mineral development Kayode Fayemi declared that Fayose and his jokes will soon end in jail.

Fayemi responded to the issues raised against him by Fayose saying that the governor is cooking up a white paper that he can shop around with a view to getting him banned from public office.

He said:''I am always unequivocal in my view about him as a misfit and a rabble-rouser who has not learnt anything from his previous travails after being thrown outof office in 2006.

''''So, how do I respond to something I regard as illegal and unconstitutional by a governor who I have the least regard for? What Ayo Fayose set up was a kangaroo panel with a clear mandate to work to a predetermined answer.

''Try and remember the genesis of the panel. His rubber stamp House of Assembly passed a resolution that he should probe Fayemi over alleged stealing of N852 million from SUBEB and for giving President Buhari N1.5 billion of Ekiti money.''

Man Utd news: Buying Sanchez was a mistake and has hurt Rashford and Martial - Scholes

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho rotated Rashford and Martial in the wide left role for the first half of the season. But in January, United swooped to sign Sanchez from Arsenal in a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

However, Sanchez has not been able to have the anticipated impact with just two goals for the club and Mourinho’s preference for Sanchez has seen Rashford and Martial become frustrated on the sidelines. Both players are currently being linked with moves away from Old Trafford in the summer.

And when asked whether Sanchez’s arrival stunted Rashford and Martial’s development, Scholes told BT Sport: “I think it did a little bit.

“Marcus [Rashford] and [Anthony] Martial, I think it stopped them playing.“Was Sanchez a player at that time United needed? Possibly don’t think so.

We know the qualities he has got, he’s had a great career.

He hasn’t quite hit it off at United."He’s had one or two games where he’s done quite well but on the whole he hasn’t done as well as we would have expected

Nigeria is one of the world’s most difficult places to eradicate Polio '' Bill Gates says

Second richest man in the world and Co-founder ofBill and Melinda Gates Foundation,Bill Gates, has described Nigeriaas one of the most difficult countries to eradicate the polio disease. Gates stated this when hespoke at the joint forum of the Common wealth Heads of Government Meeting in West minster yesterday April 17th.

According to the billionaire and philantropist, India, Nigeria and Pakistanhave proven to be the most difficult places to wipe out the disease but that Nigeria has done well by learning some steps from India.

“If you want to do something better, find out who is already doing better than anyone else in the world, and adopt what they are doing, to your own challenges. The Commonwealth is ideal forthis and you have positive outliers in almost every area of expertise, and you meet regularly to learn from one another. Polio eradication is a great example of this. For different reasons, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, are three of the places it has been most difficult to wipe out this disease. But India was declared Polio-free in 2014.The lessons learnt from there have helped Nigeria get to zero cases in 2017. And now Pakistan, which still has few cases, very few, is taking those experiences, particularly at the challenges of dealingwith insecurity, and they have their cases down to the lowest areas ever. So, this success really goes back to the substantial commitments made in partat the Commonwealth meetings. Collectively, Commonwealth nations are experts in far more than just polio eradication.Nobody else is better in the world at education thanSingapore. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have built very high quality primary healthcare systems, staffedprimarily by women healthcare workers.” he said

Nigerians will ease out President Buhari in 2019 - Olu Falae

The National Chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP),Chief OluFalaehas declared that everything possible will be done to ease outPresident Muhammadu Buhari from power come 2019.

Falae, who spoke in Abeokuta after a consultation meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, said the affairs of Nigeria are greater than the political ambition of anybody. He also stated that the emergence of a good, progressive leadership in2019 was imperative for the sake of Buhari and the country at large.

Falae, who is a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Minister of Finance in the General Ibrahim Babangida military regime, arrived the home of his host at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) about12:30 p.m. The meeting, which lasted for about two hours, had inattendance a former presidential spokesman, Dr. Doyin Okupe; former Ogun State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Elder Joju Fadairo; two-time governorship candidate,Prince Gboyega Isiaka and a SDP governorship aspirant in Ogun State, Sina Kawonise, among others.

Falae, who spoke on the outcome, canvassed the need for “all right-thinking Nigerians” to forge a collaboration towards bringing beneficial change in the country in 2019.

He added that it was important for the SDP and the Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) being championed by Obasanjo to work together to effect desired change. He described the Buhari administration as a failure, insisting that the government has refused to carry out its primary responsibility of protecting the lives and property of the citizens.

“What I am taking away from here is a confirmation on the fact that most Nigerians are united in wanting a change for the better, indoing whatever is possible to ease out President Buhari for his own sake and for the sake of Nigeria,”he said.

“The affairs of Nigeria are greaterthan the political ambition of anybody. So, I came here to exchange views with Baba Obasanjo on the affairs of Nigeria. Once upon a time between 1977 and 1979, I worked with him, he was the military Head of State and I was a Permanent Secretary working with him. And we did many thingsin those days to advance the course of Nigeria and the way things are in Nigeria, I think I should come back to see him, to exchange views with him to see whether we can make any contribution towards the elimination of the threat that we are now facing. I am sure that most, if not all right-thinking Nigerians, would see the need for all of us to work together to ensure that there is a good, beneficial, peaceful and progressive change in Nigeria. A change from massive unemployment which we have now; a change from continuous harassment from killing of people by Fulani herdsmen; a change from the fear and threat of Boko Haram; a change from a situation where farmers are afraid to go to their farms. A change from the riots that are all over the place because of frustration and loss of hope; a change from the present situationof depression and failure and revival of the economy of Nigeria”he said.
