Zhou Lu, 34, reads to her terminally ill son Chen Xiatian, seven, who went blind with brain cancer

This is so touching and will bring tears to your eyes ..A seven-year-old boy battling brain cancer sacrificed his life to save his mother's by giving her his kidney.
According to Mailonline,Chen Xiaotian was just five when doctors found a malignant tumour in his brain, months before his mother Zhou Lu, 34, contracted kidney disease.
Despite early signs he would recover, the disease aggressively returned, and he was told he would not reach adulthood.The pair battled through together for two years.Eventually, Chen told his mother:
'I want to save your life
Zhou needed dialysis treatment, while Chen required round-the-clock care.Towards the end, Chen lost his sight and became so weak he was bed-ridden, nearly paralysed
Grandma Lu Yuanxiu, 57, said: 'The doctors approached me rather than his mother because of the sensitive nature of the issue.
'They told me that my grandson would not survive but his kidneys could help his mother and also save two other lives as well.
'I discussed it with Zhou and she refused point-blank, she absolutely didn't want to hear any talk of that happening.'
In tears, his mother agreed, saying that if her son was to die her only consolation was that part of him would live on in her.
Doctors confirmed that the tissue match was perfect and when he died on April 2, he was quickly moved to the operating theatre where his kidneys and liver were removed and then donated to his mother and two other people.

Popular Deliverance Pastor Caught In Kidnapping Mess

A self-proclaimed deliverance Pastor, Emmanuel Chigozie Okpara, was arraigned and remanded in prison on Wednesday by a magistrate court sitting in Oke Eda, Akure, Ondo State in an alleged kidnapping case.

The Pastor appeared in court with 27-year-old Evelyn Jonathan, who is also facing charges of kidnapping and possession of weapons. Others who joined Pastor Okpara and Evelyn in the act are now on the run.

But Pastor Okpara, who said he is the pastor of Believer’s Prayer Ministry in Owerri, Imo State, insisted that he had nothing to do with the abduction, adding that the kidnappers had approached him for prayers.

During his police interrogation, Pastor Okpara said:

"I never knew they wanted to kidnap the child because when we arrived in Akure I was inside the vehicle when they brought the baby and one of them brought out a gun and said this was a case of kidnapping and anybody who misbehaves would be shot and that was how it all started."
The police is however accusing him of complicity with a group of boys in the abduction of a 2-year-old baby, Bolanle Olowokere, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Bayo Olowookere in March of this year.

At the time of the abduction, the group stole the mother’s cell phone and cash of Naira 200,000. A week ago, Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Isaac Chinoyerem Eke, paraded the pastor and Evelyn.

The Prosecutor handling the case, ASP Zakari Ibrahim, told the court that the accused were armed with guns and other dangerous weapons while carrying out the kidnapping. He also countered the Pastor’s claim that he was innocent when the told the court that during the police investigation they discovered it was the Pastor who took the kidnapped baby to Evelyn Jonathan in Bayelsa State before calling the mother of the child and demanding N10million ransom.

According to police sources, Pastor Okpara held the baby hostage for 10 days before he was caught.

Chief Magistrate Johnson Adelegan, presiding in court, did not accept the plea of the Pastor but ordered that he and Evelyn should be remanded in prison custody, pending legal advice from the Office of the DPP.

Pastor Okpara and Evelyn will remain in prison till April 29, 2014, when the trial is expected to start.

Dancehall star,Vybz Kartel gets life sentence for murder,No Parole for 35 years

Legendary dancehall singer Vybz Kartel has been sentenced  was sentence to life in prison for the murder of his former associate Clive “Lizard” Williams in 2011.The sentencing which took place yesterday (April 3rd) was the longest murder trial in Jamaica’s history. Prosecutors say Williams was murdered after a failed business deal. Vybz Kartel, who was convicted of the murder last month won't have a shot at having parole for 35 years.
Vybz is 38 years may only stand a chance at leaving prison at the age of 73..

Williams body was never found and the jury voted 10-1 .The one juror who voted against the decision has since been charged with attempting to bribe other jurors into changing their decisions.
A key piece of evidence was a text message said to be sent from Kartel's phone.It claimed Clive 'Lizard' Williams had been chopped up into so many pieces his body would never be found.

Shocking-Man beheads father,eats neck & sucks his blood in Ebonyi

A 30-year-old Nwode Chukwudi Awam beheaded his father, Michael Awam, 56, and ate the his neck at Egwudinagu Obegu village in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Chris Anyanwu, said..
“He was arrested on April 1, 2014 and before he was arrested, he was running and waving his machete which he used to cut his father’s head and threatened to kill anybody that moved close to him. Meanwhile, he was over powered and arrested but was caught eating the part of the severed head, after he ate-up the entire neck of the severed head.So, when you look at the exhibit head, you would see that he doesn’t even have the neck even though he cut the head on the base of the head you cannot find the neck from the head because he had eaten it up.

I think it is not unconnected with ritual killing because it does appear he may have been asked to do such a thing but like I said he is undergoing interrogation if he yields, then we will be able to know clearly and why he did the act.
However, the machete and the pestle with which he committed the crime were recovered from the scene of the incident and the headless body and severed head were deposited at the mortuary at Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki for autopsy.The suspect will been arraigned in court for prosecution.”

“I’m living at Owerri in Imo and I am a mason. A voice came to me, threatening me to go home and kill my father and I immediately rushed home and used machete to kill my father,”

His uncle said the suspect hadn't seen his father in 6 years but just came and killed him..

Boat with 28 passengers capsize in Ikorodu, 8 dead

A ferry carrying 28 people last night around 8.30 capsized in a Lagoon in Majidun area of Ikorodu in Lagos, leaving 8 people dead, 12 rescued and 6 yet to be accounted for. Most of the occupants of the boat were working class people who were heading back home after the close of work.

The ferryboat which belong to Bell Marine Company began its journey from Ebute-Ero under the Eko Bridge around 6pm and headed for Ikorodu when it hit a rock and capsized.

Ibrahim Farinloye, Spokeperson for National Emergency Management Authority, Southwest Zone, confirmed the incident and said that NEMA officials and Naval Officers as well as local divers are patrolling the Lagoon to find the remaining six unaccounted occupants.

This incident is happening just two weeks after a boat capsized in Festac Town Lagos were 13 people reportedly died.
